Indian Bloggers

  1. I can't imagine a world without colour. So I am thankful that we have such beautiful colours.

    1. I have tried to use the theme of colors to highlight the discrimination rampant everywhere these days. If there were no colors, it would become very monotonous. It is the diversity of colors that makes life 'colorful'.

  2. I had read a novel, i think titled as "The giver" where the dystopian world is shown as colorless. And I felt depressed by diving into that world. A thought provoking poem :)

    1. I have not read the novel but thanks for mentioning it. Who is the author? Will check that. Yes, without colors, without diversity, it would be depressing indeed...

  3. Well said and so very thought provoking. Life without colours would be lifeless and bland, boring and so depressing too! Hope people realize and value each other and forget all about discrimination and the hatred that spurs from it!

    1. It isn't about picking a favorite color. It is about respecting them all....the differences, the diversity, the uniqueness of each....

  7. It's true that we tend to realize the worth of something the more when we lose it. Colourless world is unimaginable. You've connected it with the diversity in this world beautifully.

  17. Very beautiful Sunaina!

  20. Compelling composition Sunaina. I closed my eyes and followed your words and found that it is a pale pale world. Your poem drives the strength and sweetness that colours bring to our lives. Very well thought out and versed.

  23. Sunaina, bhed-bhao ki sankirn mansikta to hamare ander hai. Rang to kewal ek bahana hai. Agar rang nahi hota to hum kuchh aur khoj lete. Waise, aap ne theek kaha ki agar rang kho jayen to kahin unki mahatta samajh aaye. Bahut hi(n) vicharniya awam sundar rachna.

Apne hi rang me, Shyam rang me rang de chunariya. Shyam piya mori rang de chunariya……”
